I qualified from Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1993 and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in all three maternities in Dublin, Coombe Women’s Hospital, National Maternity Hospital and Rotunda Hospital. I received a Certificate of Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and subsequent  registration on the Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council as proof of expertise.

My passion for understanding infertility and helping these patients made me pursue 3 years of advanced training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery.  This training was certified by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) with the award of a SubSpecialist degree, the highest qualification achievable in infertility training. I am a Fellow of the RCOG (2011) and RCPI (2020).

I hold a Diploma in Ethics of Medical Research and Biotechnology (Keele University, 2008) and a research Doctoral Degree (MD) from Trinity College Dublin (2011).
