The Moroccan Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy (MAGE) has just held its first congress during this month of December. Its founding president, Dr. El Mostafa Ouaid, obstetrician-gynecologist, former monitor at Notre-Dame Hospital in Montreal, specializing in celio-surgery and at the CICE (International Center for Endoscopic Surgery of Clermont Ferrand), reminds us of the highlights. Dr El Mostafa Ouaid: The association was just created a little over a year ago. Its main missions are focused on training and updating on new surgical techniques for the benefit of the medical population. Precisely, during this first congress, we tried to popularize, during the first day, minimally invasive surgery for novice doctors. This type of surgical practice has, in fact, been recognized throughout the world, when it must be prescribed as the most profitable, at all levels. This surgery involves much less risk and does not damage a woman’s fertility. It allows better healing and therefore requires a lower dose of analgesic. In this way, the patient can resume her professional activity more quickly.
