Dr. Findikli has completed his B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in Molecular Biology & Genetics and his Ph.D. in Bioengineering (cell and tissue cryopreservation). His professional career started in 1998 as a research scientist in Institute of Cancer Research in London. In 2000, he moved to assisted reproductive technologies (ART) field and started to work in Istanbul Memorial Hospital, Turkey as a molecular biologist/embryologist. In 2003, he has founded the Research & Development Laboratory in the same hospital and worked as the R&D Laboratory Director until 2006. Between 2006-2012, he worked as IVF Laboratory Director in several prestigious private and hospital-based IVF units in Turkey and contributed to the establishment of more than 20 national/international IVF Clinics/labs. He has also been actively involved in numerous projects as coordinator as well as scientific consultant in around the region. His knowledge and experience on human embryology as well as molecular biology/genetics allowed him to combine different research fields and successfully expand the application of novel technologies in different ART and research laboratories.
Between 2012-2016, he worked as the Director of Embryology Laboratories in Bahçeci Health Group. Since May 2016, he has been the Scientific Director of Bahçeci. Bahçeci Group currently includes 9 IVF Centers and 1 Genetic Diagnosis Centre, performing more than 8000 IVF/ICSI as well as over 1500 PGS/PGD cycles per annum.
His special areas of interest include gamete and embryo cryopreservation, preimplantation genetic screening/diagnosis, reproductive genetics and reproductive stem cells. Dr. Findikli has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 5 book chapters and more than 200 abstracts presented in national/international meetings. He has been frequently attending national/international meetings as invited speaker.
Dr. Fındıklı is the founding member of Turkish Clinical Embryology Society for the 6th time in 2019 he was selected as the president. He is also the member of several national and international scientific societies including American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), International Society of Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis International Society (PGDIS)
